Data Scientist,
Researcher, Student ,
& More.
Welcome;
I'm Andrew Argeros. Take a look at my career, life, and more.
This is me
I'm a current undergraduate at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota studying Computational Data Science and Business Analytics. Currently, I'm an intern at ExceleraRx Corp, applying machine learning and analytics to the world of specialty pharmacy. I also work at Hamline, in two research roles for the School of Business. I have presented at, and won multiple awards for my work at data science conferences such as BAC@MC 2019, MinneMUDAC 2019, MUDAC 2020, and the Minnesota Economic Association's Conference in 2020.

How my journey into
Data Science began
Going into my first year of undergrad, I was set on a career in Law. I loved to argue, and a future as an attorney was going to allow me that. However, through high school, I had progressed through the school's math curriculum, through a Calc II course I thought I would hate but learned to love. As part of the course, our class competed in a local insurance company's "Actuary Day". This is where it all began.
In college, I worked on the Business Analytics Competition at Manhattan College, and fell in love the process. Data hold myriad stories that I began to unlock. I wanted more. Then came conferences, research, consulting, and ah-hoc projects thrown together in code I was learning on the spot. I wanted an internship, applied for 54, and was denied by.
During that time I felt crushed by the weight of the knowledge that lay before me. But I remembered that data science is about stories, that anyone can tell.
